2013 Moulton Speedway Mini Stock Rules
BODY

  1. Strictly stock. Any 2 or 4 door foreign or domestic vehicle with 90" to 108" maximum wheel base.  FRONT WHEEL DRIVES OK.
  2. Must have safe roll cage.
  3. Strictly stock foreign or domestic truck. Engine must match year, make and model of vehicle.
  4. Stock Bumpers in stock location. Bumpers may be cut slightly, but no sharp edges, bumper replacement ok if in stock location. (No “cow catchers” allowed)
  5. Must have wrecker attachments on front and rear of car.
  6. All doors must be welded or bolted shut.
  7. All glass must be removed.
  8. Racing seat with approved shoulder harness required.
  9. 4 post roll cage welded to the frame with 3 or 4 more bars in the driver door must be 1 5/8” or larger.
  10. No sheet metal bodies, plastic aftermarket replacement nose and tail ok. Maintain stock firewall and floor pan. Trunk may be hulled for fuel cell.

STOCK FRAME:

  1. Car must be strictly stock appearing. Minimum cutting allowed for tires
  2. Plastic ground effects are permitted.
  3. Pedals must be in stock location
  4. Battery must be relocated and strapped securely in battery box in cockpit.
  5. Cockpit okay.

ENGINE
Option A.

  1. 4 cylinders only.
  2. Must pull and hold 18 inch vacuum at 900 rpm by track gauge.
  3. Stock rods, crank, heads, stroke, intake and block (any overbore) No turbo, no EFI intakes allowed with carb.
  4. Degree pulley OK
  5. No porting and polishing at all.
  6. Max size is 2500cc
  7. Stock fuel pump in stock location only
  8. Any stock 2 barrel carburetor or 2 barrel holley 350 cfm max. May run 500 cfm carb with addition of 25 lbs. Gas only
  9. Max 1” adapter spacer maybe run.
  10. Electric fuel pump maybe used on blocks with no fuel hole. You MUST run a safety cutoff switch.
  11. Engine must be in stock location
  12. Factory fuel tank cannot be utilized.
  13. Factory fuel injection systems allowed (under experimental conditions)

Option B.

  1. All Engine Option A rules apply.
  2. Any hydraulic cam, no roller cams.
  3. Must run cast piston or hypereutectic piston. No forged pistons.
  4. Maximum compression 170 with 10lb tolerance.

TIRES AND WHEELS

  1. Any steel wheel not to exceed 8" width.
  2. Bead locks allowed on right side.
  3. All tires must punch min. of 58 hardness.

SUSPENSION

  1. Shocks and springs must stay in stock location.
  2. No coilovers, no wedge bolts, no adjustable suspension
  3. Wheels may be reinforced to prevent loss. Plating, washers or double nut recommended.
  4. Stock steering and power steering pump for that make of car. No quick steer, may have removable steering wheel.

TRANSMISSION AND REAR END

  1. Standard Transmission must have all gears. Automatic Transmission must have Stock Torque Converter.
  2. Must have stock Minimum 13lb. Flywheel.
  3. Must have stock Pressure Plate and Clutch. No aluminum flywheels.
  4. Blow proof bell housing or scatter shield suggested but not required.
  5. Rear end maybe locked.

WEIGHT

  1. 2000 lbs Minimum after race or 1 lb. per cc, must claim total cc. Weights Must be posted on the car above the driver window or hood, in plain sight of scales.
  2. Stock motors with aluminum heads, more than 8 valves or 3TC or Fuel Injection or front wheel drive must weigh minimum of 2100 lbs.

NOTE: Must include weight penalty of 25lbs for 500 cfm carb. IF NOT this can be a disqualifying rule infraction.
